Aspiration: Physician
"In a world where prayer and God take a backseat or are frankly left out of the car, it is a blessing to have attended a Christian school. It was in my junior year I remember vividly the excellent worship experiences at chapel. My spiritual life was taken to another level by the preaching and singing at school. At the end of my senior year at GNYA, I was accepted into my school of choice--The Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education. It is only through God's grace and His will I was accepted because 1,000 plus people could apply and only 80 are accepted. I was one of them. Since I begun my career path toward being a physician, the school workload has increased significantly and there is no mid-day chapel. God is never spoken of in the classrooms; however, I learned to rest assured that God will carry me through rough times. As is the motto of GNYA, I know that 'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,' (Phillipians 4:13)."

"I am very pleased that Greater New York Academy (GNYA) was in existence when I was of high school age. I enjoyed my four years at GNYA. What I remember most is the camaraderie among the students and the genuine care and concern our teachers exhibited. Students commuted to GNYA from every corner of the five New York boroughs; some from beyond. The ties that bound us back then have endured for years. I am still friends with many classmates from those years and my life has been enhanced by those friendships. GNYA has been an important institution in guiding students through the difficult teen years and preparing alumni for service to society."
